Claire, Sam and the awesome team looked after us all very well as per usual and we just about managed to get the photos done before the heavens opened up. There was even chat of thunder but no-one was sure...
The ceremony was held in the stunning gallery, Abbie did think about having it outside but the chance of rain made it too risky. Sods law though, the sun was out the whole time during the 'I do's'
It was great to see this lovely couple tie the knot after so many postponements and waiting and I had a great day with them. Lovely to see Nadine Grant at the bridal prep sorting out the war paint and as usual a pleasure working with big Simon 'Snake Shoes' Gillespie from Cinematique on our amazing wedding photography and videography package. Abbie's flowers were created by the talented Sarah at The Flower Studio and looked beaut.
Congratulations to Abbie & Jamie, all the best for the future.

The girls got ready at the venue with the boys joining us in time for the 'I do's' My second shooter went to hang with the boys while they got ready and got some great photos of little Jacob getting ready with his dad.
I do love an outdoor ceremony, especially in weather like this, although I really need to get some suncream in my kit bag as I'm starting to crisp up!
Rebecca was a simply stunning bride and her bridesmaids were all beautiful too, which made my 'job' very easy on the day, the boys were all very handsome. As per usual the team at Glenbervie looked after everyone and the day went without a hitch (apart from the couple getting hitched of course!)
It was important to me to get some nice shots of Rebecca & Adam with their son, as at my wedding we missed out on getting shots of us with our boy due to him having a nap after the ceremony & not waking up till the photographer was away. We didn't really think about it at the time but we were disappointed when we realised we didn't have any. So I make a point of not letting this happen to any of my couples with kids.
There were two couples in the guest list that were past couples of mine, Dawn & Gary and Caitlin & Scott. It was great catching up with them and seeing so many familiar faces. I had a great time sharing in this special day and capturing the wedding photography for this beautiful couple.
Congratulations to Rebecca & Adam, Mr & Mrs Powers

Our beautiful bride wasn't the only star of the show, the lime light was stole now & again by the happy couples, cute as a button, little boy- Ollie. I loved seeing him pop up everywhere when I was looking through the lens, got some cracking pictures of him just hanging out at the ceremony!
This wedding was buzzing, I had a total blast with the new Mr & Mrs and all the family and friends. A huge portion of the guests were over from Northern Ireland, so as you can imagine a wedding full of Scots & Irish had some top class shenanigans. Some of the banter was nearly as good as mine!
During the speeches we had a few words from the brides beautiful sister (and bridesmaid) Jessica. I really love it when we get a speech from one of the girls, the more the better. We've been listening to the boys drone on for hundreds of years, let's hear what the ladies have to say!
It was great working with Simon & Nat on the awesome wedding photography and videography package we offer. The best deal in town, get in touch for details.
Congratulation to Lauren & Damian, Mr & Mrs Bathgate.
Thank you for choosing Casey Stewart Photography to capture your wedding photography.

The weather was our friend on the day with the rain only coming on during dinner, when we were done outside. This gave us plenty of time to get some awesome photos and enjoy the drinks & canapés in the fresh air. Rebecca & Shaun and their friends and family were all lovely, chilled people and I had a great time capturing the wedding photography for them. I love my 'job'
There was an amazing 11 speeches at this wedding, we had step-father of the bride, father of the bride, groom and 3 bestmen before dinner and 5 bridesmaids after dessert. It was great to hear all the history and different ways they met and were connected to the bride & groom, there was a good few stories in there!
Congratulations to the happy couple, Mr & Mrs Gentleman. All the best for a long happy life together. Thank you for choosing Casey Stewart Photography.

The girls got ready on site in a beautiful, spacious cottage next the barn that had everything needed for a successful bridal prep. Great light too. The ceremony was conducted outside on the decking at the side of the barn with stunning vistas of the surrounding hills and woods. Cocktail hour was a blast with everyone enjoying the sun, canapés and fizz in the barns custom made patio garden area.
After some photos it was on to the barn for the speeches and dinner and the set up inside was lovely, hope to see you again very soon Roodlea.
Congratulations to the happy couple, Lesley & Thomas, Mr & Mrs Ward. Thank you for the privilege of capturing your wedding photography.

The girls, Kelly, 6 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls, what a squad, got ready at Inglewood House, helped along by Alison and the team at Inglewood we had Honey & Violet sorting out the war paint and Linzi from Don't Stress the Dress making sure all was perfect!
The boys caught a lift to the church in a Rolls Royce Phantom, as you do, with not much time to hang about the Minister showed the lads where to be for the big arrival.
I had an amazing time capturing the wedding photography for Kelly & Karl, it was a beautiful wedding fit for royalty. The happy couple went with our awesome wedding photography and videography package which had me alongside my good friend Simon from Cinematique Film Co.
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Paget
]]>
Kim and the girls got ready in rooms at the hotel before getting piped up to the Castle to say "I do" by Chris, the amazing piper from Pipinghot weddings and events.
The guys had special little mementos everywhere to make sure everyone in their hearts was there on the day too. I loved the lanterns that Kim actually decorated herself, Kim simply bought plain lanterns & came up with the design and Blue Peter'ed them, they looked amazing.
After the beautiful ceremony there was fizz & canapés, fun & laughter. We took some pictures along the way and the happy couple couldn't keep their eyes off each other, loves young dream.
There was not a dry eyes in the place after the heartfelt speeches, even the cake was in tiers- Boom Boom!
Its was, as per usual, a pleasure to work alongside my partner in crime, Simon from Cinematique Film Co. Kim & James went with our joint Wedding Photography and Videography package, which is the best deal in Falkirk, Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Scotland.....To infinity & beyond!! Congratulations to the happy couple, Mr & Mrs Milligan

Leanne and her bride-tribe got ready at the Hotel with both the Mum's popping in & out to make sure all was on track. The girls were all beautiful so this was an easy job for the Hair & Make up artists- Kirsty Suttie & Natasha Dardas who got the girls looking even more beautiful in no time!
Leanne's dress was absolutely stunning, it was selected from Kudos Bridal. The boys got the kilts from House of Henderson & looked smart as a tack!
During the ceremony the couple tied the knot using lovely tartan that matched Billy's kilt & plaid. Then time to put the rings on, carefully selected from Chisholm Hunter. Job done! Mr & Mrs Gaul.
I have to say the ceremony & reception rooms really looked awesome, dressed by Green Room, Classic wedding cars & events, Beautifully covered & Party People
The Green Room also provided the girls with the beaut flowers they were rocking all day. Check out the cake, a 'hanging' masterpiece. You could eat it and swing on it! It was great working with Abbey Wedding Productions for the first time who was taking care of the video.
Just as I was finishing the band, The Big Papa's, was hottin' up the dance floor for a night of party'in!
Congratulations to the happy couple, thank you for having me at your big day. It really is an honour to be part of these special days in peoples lives.
(And thanks for the Johnnie Walker too!!)

Erin and her beautiful bridesmaids got ready at Sherbrooke Castle with the help of the very talented @bellarougeartistry - it was then time for Erin to put on her stunning dress from @sophiagracecouture - The girls flowers were supplied by @irenesflorist and came together perfectly with the dresses along with the room decor, set up by @tigerlilyweddingevents
The boys rocked up just in time to say "I do" sporting a very smart tartan from @kilts4u - this is one of my favourite kilts of the season so far!
During the ceremony, conducted by @scottish_wedding_celebrant with @fuveceremonies one of the Groomsmen got up to address the wedding in the style of the one & only JOEY TRIBBIANI, talking about all the giving and receiving, as well as the having and sharing! Awesome!
It was now time for Erin's engagement ring, selected from @chisholmhunter to make way for the lovely wedding ring from @beaverbrooksthejewellers
After the ceremony it was time for some fizz, canapés and pictures, it was great working along with @tmweddingfilms again who was taking care of the wedding video. I'm sure you'll agree the cake was stunning, a real piece of art, lovingly prepared by the talented @falkirkcakes
I had a great day with Erin & Sean on their amazing wedding day, thank you for having @caseyfoto1 capture your wedding photography.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Gilmour!

This was a great day full of laughter, as you can see from the pictures the Father of the Bride was full of mischief, he had some top banter!
I also loved the Marvel nod in some of the decor, I'm a fan.
A great bunch of people and a pleasure to be with the happy couple & all their friends and family on this special occasion.
Congratulations to Stephanie & David.

What a laugh we had capturing this wedding, the banter from some of the groomsmen was nearly as bad as mine!
Congratulations to the happy couple, Nicola & Jamie. All the best guys.

The girls got ready at Debbie & Chris's home then it was off to Glenbervie to hook up with the boys and say 'I do'

Hollie & Stuart's wedding was amazing, the sun was out all day & the whole place was full of laughter and fun times from start to finish.
It was great capturing the memories with my good buddies Simon & Natasha from Cinematique Film Co rocking our Photography & Videography combo package.

After the ceremony, conducted by the lovely Melanie we headed to the marque for some great speeches, the two best men didn't disappoint with a speech worthy of a stand up gig.
Congratulations to the happy couple- Mr & Mrs Smith.

Hopefully the rest of the year is as much fun as this was.
Rachel & Josh got married at the stunning Balbirnie House, this is one of my favourite venues. Both the boys & girls got ready in rooms at Balbirnie which has beautiful bedrooms to offer.
Josh was nervous before the ceremony but a wee drink & some fun getting pictures with the boys soon sorted that out. There was not a dry eye in the house when Rachel & her Dad came down the aisle but we all managed to get through the ceremony.
I had a great time with this amazing couple, here's to a long happy life together.

Kelly & Adam tied the knot at the stunning Inglewood House in Alloa, a favourite venue of ours and the awesome team didn't disappoint as usual, even with all the present restrictions in place.
I had a wonderful time and the day was full of laughter & smiles. Congratulations!
We had a great laugh shooting at Callendar Park in Falkirk. Kirsty in particular had mentioned that she was a little nervous about getting her pictures took. It was lovely to hear her say afterwards how relaxed she now is about it all, especially as we shot a good few images with quite the audience of dog walkers etc. So they both have the confidence they need now to rock the photos on the day with no nerves at all regarding posing for photographs with all their guest potentially looking on.
Please check out the selection of images from the day.

With lockdown finally over the Phillips were keen to get outdoors and capture some summer 2020 memories.
A location family photoshoot was just the tonic after so long shut away indoors because of the Coronavirus Pandemic and the family took full advantage of being in the great outdoors. I love capturing these fun images with families returning every few years as the kids grow up and everyone gets that bit older.
I wanted to share some of the great images we captured on the day so check out the slideshow below.

Lyn and Barry decided not to let Covid-19 spoil their nuptials and with restrictions lifting they were able to enjoy their day with close family and friends attending. Wedding receptions are still subject to the rules that apply for other indoor and outdoor gatherings - three households and up to eight people indoors, or five households and up to 15 people outside.
The couple after much humming and hawing decided to swop their wedding venue The Scotts in Grangemouth for a outdoor wedding in woodland at the back of family home in Avonbridge. Unsure what to expect I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find they had decorated the area with signs and flowers, an altar, signing table and they even managed to provide an aisle to walk on. This enchanted forest wedding also offered a hidden waterfall that could only be accessed via a neighbours back garden. This hidden gem provided a wonderful backdrop for their photo shoot after the ceremony.
Everyone was in festive spirits and with the magical setting it was easy to forget that we are in the middle of a pandemic but the couple ensured everyone was maintaining the covid-19 guidelines for hygiene with hand sanitiser never far away. Putting the safety of their guests was paramount and with the reception outdoors in the garden it ensures social distancing was adhered to.
A fun and memorable occasion despite the testing times. I salute Lyn and Barry for bravely deciding to not let the pandemic and government dictate their lives by continuing with their day.
From 100 guests attending The Scotts for the ceremony and reception to 15 guests (including Lyn & Barry and the humanist) how is anyone supposed to choose who can attend? Having had things slowly stripped away Lyn and Barry considered postponing to later in the year or even 2021. They then realised it wasn’t about the party anymore it was about them marrying. They then formed their woodland themed wedding and I have to say I enjoyed photographing it immensely. For me it was important that Lyn and Barry felt like every couple I have photographed pre Covid so it was business as usual. The woodland provided a great setting and the waterfall a fantastic backdrop for the couple photos. I left everyone enjoying the garden reception and feel very privileged to have been part of Lyn and Barrys wonderful day.
The Scottish government has said physical distancing at weddings was being kept under review.
The next formal review of lockdown restrictions is on 20 August.
I can't wait to resume photographing weddings again every week and will in the meantime enjoy the weddings that are coming up later this year.
See a slideshow of images below.

]]>After many years taking E-shoots its hard to believe that I have NEVER posted a blog about how to prep for your engagement shoot. In my experience couples generally know what to wear and most get that right as we are on location and the weather often dictates clothing. I do always provide some advice on this but really its more that they don't always know what to expect from the shoot and many aren't sure why its needed.
When you’re prepping for your engagement session, there are a few things to keep in mind. It is supposed to be FUN with no pressure and it provides an opportunity for us to chat and get to know each other before the big day. It helps me to gauge if you or both of you are camera shy and will need a bit of help on the big day to relax in front of the camera. I have found that wedding day shots where couples that have booked an engagement shoot before know exactly what to expect and are much more relaxed, so win win really.
After you book with your photographer, whether it’s me or someone else, you’ll need to start thinking about when you want your engagement shoot to be. Some couples prefer to have their portraits done in the season opposite of the season of their wedding. So if you’re having a spring wedding, it may be nice to have an autumn engagement shoot. Don't forget you will also have to take your photographer’s availability into consideration. I book sessions about 2 months in advance and generally shoot engagements on weekdays in wedding season. This will vary with every photographer and every season.
Steps to make sure that you’re both prepared for your engagement photoshoot follows.
1. Outfits : The best advice I can give about outfit selection would be to try to COORDINATE instead of matching. Try to stay away from intricate patterns, they won’t show up in your images. Bold jewellery, scarves, and coloured shoes photograph really well! Think about the location, will we have to walk around a city as comfy shoes may be needed, likewise heels don't work on the beach either. Smart casual usually works best depending on where the photoshoot is taking place and what time of day it is. I am happy to provide advice as will other photographers.
2. Preparing: You know each other better than anyone else and so only you can help prepare for this shoot. If your fiance is completely unaware of this style of photography, they are going to think it’s really strange when I tell you strike a pose. Often the expectation isn't high with "its just a few pictures smiling at the camera" often being banded about. It's more than showing off the ring it's a style of photography that provides great images of you both before you tie the knot. Lifestyle photography provides some of my favourite images and couples in my experience never forget and find enjoyable. It may help to look at your photographers website engagement gallery to give you both an idea of what you are both about to experience.
3. Relax: As you’re preparing for your engagement shoot. Remember that your photographer doesn’t expect you to be a pro at this. I work with normal, everyday couples all the time and I can’t speak for all photographers but I tell my couples that it takes a good 20 minutes to warm up. So relax and don’t be nervous! You’re going to be great at this! Trust your photographer, allow them to be creative and you’ll have an amazing shoot!
4. Location and Time: This is really important. What most couples don’t realise is that natural light photographers are 100% dependent on the sun and if their couples show up late, they will lose that amount of time during their session due to the lack of light. I have done winter evening shoots as I will always work around couples schedules and accommodate their busy lives. When it comes to picking a location, I love shooting engagements in locations that mean something to the couple and find this produces great results. I enjoy finding new locations and thrive on the beautiful Scottish landscape whether urban, beach or countryside they all provide great backdrops and photo opportunities ensuring the resulting images are unique to each couple.
I hope those tips were helpful and should you wish to book a engagement photoshoot then please get in touch!

For years I have wanted to offer customers a variety of products that they can order from their gallery but every year I have been so busy that I just haven't had the time. Something good to come out of CoronaVirus is that I found myself with time and have now put my online store in place and I have to say it only took me half a day and wasn't as complex as I thought it would be. Should have done it a long time ago.
Customers can now access a plethora of products and not just prints anymore from their galleries with digital downloads, greeting cards, home decor, albums and photo gifts on offer. All galleries old and new have access to the online shop and I would urge customers to take a look and see if there is anything they fancy with mugs, jigsaw puzzles and phone cases all available to order today. If you have forgotten your gallery password just get in touch with me and I will send you it no problem.
Heres a sneaky peak at what you can expect when you are in the shop.

No two photographers are alike with style, character and personality shining through their work. When booking a photographer couples should follow their instinct and if they "click" then the resulting images will reflect this.
The task you have in front of you is no easy one. Selecting a photographer to tell your story is probably one of the most important decisions you will have to make in the upcoming months and one that will be with you for the rest of your life!
Sure, how you feel in your dress, what flowers you are having and where Uncle Pete sits are important decisions, but none carry the long term implications of your imagery.
My goal is to tell your story in the most compelling way possible. I treat every wedding with the care and the trust that it deserves. What could be more important than giving your family beautiful images that will provide enjoyment for years, and hopefully, generations to come?
My relaxed approach applies no matter if I am shooting a wedding, family, event or conference, candid storytelling in a documentary style captures those unique moments in time.
Find out about my approach or get in touch to discuss your special day!

As there is a degree of uncertainty around Coronavirus and returning to normality I thought it would be helpful to share the strategies of how to cope at this time and ensure you are being cautious. None of us know the outcome of Coronavirus or what impact it will have on our lives in the months to come, we may need to wear masks and maintain social distancing so its worth considering how it may impact our wedding day.
We aren't sure if when restrictions are lifted if things will go back to normal so other options may be considered if you don't want to postpone. Seating could be spaced apart, ceremonies held outdoors, discuss options with your venue who will be happy to adapt and change as necessary. If older or vulnerable at risk guests cannot attend then consider allowing them to attend virtually so they don't miss out on your big day.
Most weddings are small gatherings so hopefully it won't impact too much but if government guidelines include wearing masks as well social distancing then this will impact your photographs and memories immeasurably. Carefully consider your photos when deciding to go ahead over this period. Although it could result in the quirkiest wedding I have ever photographed!
2. Enjoy a mock wedding celebration
Why not enjoy your wedding day with friends and family by virtually connecting and celebrating your original wedding date. While in lockdown some couples aren't letting Coronavirus spoil their day and they are enjoying a mock wedding to mark the occasion. A great way to hook up with friends and family and celebrate instead of feeling miserable that your wedding has been postponed.
This is sure to lighten the heart and spirit bringing people together to sing and dance.
Marriages and civil partnerships are not taking place on the advice of UK and Scottish governments to help delay the spread of Covid-19.
A marriage may not proceed in Scotland without the issue of a Schedule. Registrars have been instructed to suspend the issue of Schedules for marriages and civil partnerships. NRS will take advice about when it is safe to lift this restriction and when they do it may still mean social distancing will have to be adhered.
Something you could consider instead of postponing is to elope and party later. If you do elope I can be a witness if required and would love to help you out.
I am flexible and will wear a mask and maintain social distancing adhering to government guidelines at all times.
Many of you have already had to postpone your special days and I am aware that more may have to rescheduled if your date is going to impacted by Coronavirus. Please do not worry I am here to make things as seamless as possible. There is no charge, and provided I am free on the new date, we just move the existing booking to the new date. Easy and simple, no fuss.
Hopefully this helps you plan your wedding day around Coronavirus and provide peace of mind however I would remind you that dates are becoming limited so please get in touch as soon as your venue confirms availability.

]]>First up, some of the images I captured recently for R Brown & Son, the quality butcher was looking to update his website with some quality images.
You've guessed it, more food! I did say there was lots! The lovely people at Airth Castle Hotel asked me to capture some dishes for an ongoing social media campaign. Unfortunately lots of desserts were harmed in the production of this blog...yum!
The third instalment of commercial (more food!) photography- This tasty lot were shot for the new menu at Hotel Colessio. I nearly enjoyed capturing these dishes just as much as I enjoyed 'disposing' of them! 🍛🍽
Lastly in this blog selection is not food! It is however the next best thing...party time! These shots were captured at a Halloween party with Silent Knights. The silent disco legends rocked Paisley at the awesome Halloween street party the town council put on. It was an amazing event, Falkirk Council- take note!
Featured in this blog post, check out my wooden usb's, the beautiful wooden fine art prints box and the awesome folio plus box which holds your personalised usb and a 9x6" hand bound album with your favourite image on the box lid and usb. Happy days!
